Australian beat-maker cln gives us the next taste of his upcoming ep with new single ‘Mist’, as well as announcing his debut North American tour.

‘Mist’ was written and recorded in Callan Alexander’s (aka cln) make-shift home studio in Brisbane. He tends to have a pretty hands-on approach to everything he does from the production all the way through to the mixing and mastering. He even makes all of the synth sounds from scratch – no presets.

“It’s nice to leave my mark on every aspect of the song, I just really enjoy it – I’ve also become quite fond of the little imperfections” – cln

Vibing on the likes of Flying Lotus, Odesza and SBTRKT, cln warps and weaves his way through multiple layers of engaging synth, driving beats and somber vocal melodies, as he takes us on another captivating adventure into his world of lush electronic sounds.

“The lyrical content in ‘Mist’ doesn’t have any specific meaning, however I was trying channel the feels I get from waking up in a freezing cold tent, then heading out to climb a mountain or something. I think it’s one of the best feelings in the world“ – cln

cln’s upcoming ep will be seeing its release in October, but you can get your hands on ‘Mist’ and his recent single ‘Owls’ right now through iTunes and Spotify.

In other news, cln will be making his way to North America this August/September for a 9-date tour, which includes UpNorth Music & Arts Festival and Nocturnal Wonderland, as well as supporting The Chainsmokers at their Red Rocks show in Denver.
