Klue

Sydney producer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Klue, is back with a brand new track this week called ‘So Good’, giving us the next taste of his upcoming debut ep, Daybreak.

Just a few months ago Klue burst into our lives with an incredible track called ‘Hiding’, which got many heads turning and built quite a bit of anticipation for what else this Aussie muso may have up his sleeve – the answer to that is a four-track debut ep with ‘So Good’ being his next offering.

“I think I came up with the idea for the song on the dance floor at a warehouse party, having too good of a time and knowing I had to be at work early the next day. That said, I can think of a number of scenarios it could be applied to, I’m sure everyone knows that feeling” – Klue

Klue draws his influences from a wide variety of great musicians, styles and techniques; his drumming style is driven by some of the things he picked while up listening to the likes of MJ Cole, Royal T and Todd Edwards, and his percussion is influenced partly by Brazilian Samba sounds, as well as some of the amazing music he heard while on tour in Africa. While Klue’s vocal style weighs heavy on soulful-side, he also works-in a few jazz/reggae elements inspired by Fat Freddy’s Drop, with some smooth R&B flavours similar to that of Frank Ocean.

‘So Good’ is about that feeling you get when you know that what you’re doing probably isn’t the best idea, but it’s just way too good to stop” – Klue

‘So Good’ is available now from iTunes and on Spotify, and the Daybreak EP will be seeing its release on May 13th through etcetc Music.
