Over the last few months Australian artist Benji Lewis has been doing a lot of song-writing to help pass the time. He gave us the first taste of this in July with the soothing sounds of ‘Peaceful’ and he’s coming back to us this month with another inspiring single titled ‘Everything’s Alright’.

Benji Lewis makes beautifully chilled electro/alt-pop music which can be likened to a mix between Shallou, Zachary Knowles and Kevitch, and this new single is a true testament to that statement.

As Benji delves into the creation of this new song he explains how it was written with his friend & regular collaborator, Golden Vessel, as well as the discussions & feelings that were flowing from them at that time. He also opens up about what it means to him; feelings of freedom and hopefulness of which we can all relate to after such a turbulent year…

“I wrote this song a little while ago with my friend Max, also known as Golden Vessel. We got to talking about our past travels and about wanting to get out on the open road again. Road-trips and travelling around the world is what started coming out through my lyrics. That feeling of freedom, getting out there on your own and taking on each day as you go.

This is a song of hope and of letting all your worries fall away, letting yourself breathe, smile and enjoy the moment youre in. I know that things are still quite difficult for so many, but when you can, try to take some time out for yourself to relax and reconnect. We are all in this together and there really is so much to look forward to.” – Benji Lewis
