Over the last two years Australian artist Emerson Leif has appeared on a few hugely successful singles with Golden Vessel (Hesitate, Shoulders, Daylight & Highway), as well as a track called ‘Say Nothing’ by MUTO. In late 2018 Emerson Leif released his debut solo single ‘Twenty2’, which has since achieved some significant success all to its own, and this week Emerson Leif is coming back to us with his next solo single, ‘Wake Up With You’, which also comes with word of his upcoming debut ep.
Beginning with a vibrant introduction filled with vocal samples and rhythmic guitars, ‘Wake Up With You’ centres itself around the smooth & enchanting vocals we’ve come to love about Emerson Leif, as well as his stylish lyricism which on this release depict a romantic tale of appreciation for a significant other.

The track highlights a period of time whereby Leif endured loneliness after the hustle and grind of daily work, and how he wished for nothing more than to share these moments with someone special which is something we can all relate to at some point in our lives.
‘I was working for the man on night shift a few years ago and would get home when the sun was already high in the sky. The experience of not being able to share that time with someone brought a clarity to the value of something that I had in the past taken for granted. ‘Wake Up With You’ has been burning a hole in my laptop since then and is the first single of an upcoming EP that I am excited to share in the coming months.’
