Last month Australian artist JVLY (pronounced JULY) announced he has a new ep on the way titled “SUNDER”, while also giving us the first taste of what we can expect with an exceptionally smooth new single called ‘SOUTH’.
This week JVLY is giving us another album teaser with new single ‘LOCUM’, which he says is the most intense song on the “SUNDER” ep, but it also has a very tender and emotional tone and is a reflection of the selfish nature of human beings.
“I think LOCUM is probably the most intense song on SUNDER, but it’s so ironic to me. It has this kind of tender and emotive tone sonically, with the soulful chords and strings and the D’Angelo inspired guitars, but the words are definitely not tender. I didn’t want to coat this part of the story in any sugar either, it’s a reflection of the selfish nature of humans sometimes, so it has to be honest, even if a bit brutal.” ~ JVLY
