Just a few weeks ago Australian artist Lemonade Baby gave us an exciting new single called ‘Don’t Stop (Keep on Keepin on)’, which also came with news of his upcoming debut ep titled “XTRA POP” which he has planned for release in August via Mammal Sounds Records.
He’s coming back to us this week with the next taste of that ep, a catchy indie-electro/dance treat called ‘Tints’, which also features some guest vocals from fellow Brisbane based artist Kevin Collett, and he sure is building some solid anticipation for this upcoming album.
“In Tints, I am trying to illustrate how we’ve all been ‘charmed’ by someone who has f*cked us over, but we don’t see it in the moment.
I actually had the vibe and lyrics but just needed a title for the song. I met up with Kevin in the studio and showed him the idea. Kevin then freestyles his verse in 3 takes (lyrics and all), he’s a machine.
You can’t see people’s eyes through tinted glasses, and there’s even a phrase that says “rose tinted glasses,” which goes along with the concept.” ~ Lemonade Baby
