“This song captures the raw, vulnerable exchange that happens after a fight in a relationship—the back-and-forth of admitting fault, acknowledging the pain you’ve caused, and holding on to the determination not to let go of the person you love. We originally wrote it so long ago we can’t even remember exactly when. At the time, it didn’t feel ready or aligned with our sound, but we knew there was something special in its melody and emotion.
