Monster Machine is the high-octane project of Sydney-based DJ and producer Penny Yang, whose love for hard-hitting bass music was first ignited by Alison Wonderland’s explosive Listen Out set in 2015.
After years immersed in Sydney’s vibrant dance scene, Penny stepped into the spotlight through the YourShot DJ competition in 2022, where she was named a finalist. What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a full-fledged creative force, fuelled by her obsession with energy, rhythm, and bass.
Known for her powerful sets that fuse trap, dubstep, techno, and DnB, Monster Machine has shared stages with heavyweights like Lucille Croft, Slumberjack, and Dimension. Drawing inspiration from trap and 140 bass titans such as Lizdek, Skrillex, and Viperactive, she’s been carving out her own lane in Australia’s thriving bass scene.
In July 2025, Monster Machine took a bold step into the spotlight with her explosive debut single ‘Rage’, announcing the arrival of her forthcoming debut ep, EXALTED. Since then, she’s continued to raise the stakes with follow-up singles ‘Losing My Mind’ and ‘Hopeless’, each one building the hype and anticipation for what’s to come.
The hype is real. The anticipation is building. Monster Machine has arrived.
