Los Angeles artist Slouch Online is coming back to us this week with his next single ‘Skelly’s’ which also has him teaming up with indie Australian label, Mammal Sounds Records.

Slouch Online makes alternative R&B/Hip-Hop music which can be likened to a mix between Joji, Mac Miller and Kid Cudi, and this new single is another impressive showcase of his innate song-writing skills and overall sound.

Like most great songs ’Skelly’s’ started with a few basic ideas coming together to create something unique and special, and as Slouch Online reveals below, the song’s story started out as a reflection on relationship mistakes but then evolved into a much more positive tale about personal growth and learning letting go.

“This song like many others was created in my apartment studio. It started out with me playing a couple synth chords on the piano that caught my ear, and then I stumbled upon a drum loop that happened to fit perfectly. After that I pulled up a bass sound and fiddled around with the bass line until I landed on the one. At this point the beat had such a nice groove, so I just started writing with no real intention. I started humming a cool melody and just went from there.

Looking back on it, you could say the song is about past mistakes involving relationships. As it progresses it’s more about growth and letting go.” – Slouch Online

‘Skelly’s’ is available everywhere now via Mammal Sounds Records and stay tuned for more new music from Slouch Online very soon.
